National Apprenticeship Week is always a special moment in the calendar. It’s a time to celebrate the dedication, ambition and achievements of young people taking their first steps into their careers. At Scorpion Production Group, we’re passionate about championing the next generation entering the events, technical and creative industries.
This year, we’ve continued that commitment through our work with local education providers, including our ongoing partnership with Stephenson’s College.
In the lead-up to National Apprenticeship Week, our team was proud to provide full technical support for local college award ceremonies, events designed to recognise the hard work of students, apprentices, families and staff.
From the moment the first equipment case rolled in, our goal was simple:
create a professional, polished and memorable event environment that truly honours the achievements being celebrated.
Our support included:
✨ Dynamic lighting, carefully designed to set the mood and elevate each moment
✨ Elegant draping, transforming everyday spaces into impactful event settings
✨ Crystal‑clear projection, ensuring every name, story and achievement could be seen by all
✨ Full technical operation, delivered by our skilled team to keep everything running seamlessly
These ceremonies not only recognise academic and vocational accomplishments, they highlight the passion and dedication of young people shaping the future of our industry. We’re honoured to play a role in helping their success shine.
National Apprenticeship Week is also the perfect time to recognise the young people who have already stepped through Scorpion’s doors.
Over the past year, we’ve welcomed Charlie, Dylan and Lewis through work experience placements as part of their university and college courses. Each of them brought fresh enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and each made a real impact during their time with us.
🌟 Charlie – Now a Technician
Charlie quickly proved himself to be reliable, technically minded and committed. His hands-on approach and problem‑solving abilities made him a natural fit for the technical team, and we’re proud that he now works with Scorpion as a technician, supporting live events and technical setups across our divisions.
🌟 Dylan – Now an Events & Warehouse Assistant
Dylan impressed us with his work ethic, focus and adaptability. From the warehouse to event sites, he’s shown real dedication and a readiness to get stuck in. We’re delighted to have him now working with us as an Events & Warehouse Assistant.
🌟 Lewis – A Promising Future Ahead
During his placement, Lewis demonstrated great potential and a genuine passion for the industry. Although he has since moved forward with the next steps of his journey, we have no doubt he will go far, and we’re proud to have been part of his early development.
These three young people are perfect examples of why work experience opportunities are so valuable, they create pathways into the industry, build confidence, and help shape the professionals of tomorrow.
As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we’re reminded of the incredible value education providers and industry partners bring when they work together.
Apprenticeships, vocational courses and real‑world industry exposure give young people:
✔ Practical skills
✔ Confidence
✔ Career pathways
✔ Connections within the industry
✔ A sense of purpose and direction
And for us at Scorpion, supporting them isn’t just a responsibility, it’s an investment in the future of the events, technical, creative and production sectors.
Whether through technical support at college events, work experience opportunities, or celebrating the success of Charlie, Dylan and Lewis, we remain committed to empowering young people and supporting our community.
So here’s to:
✨ The next generation of industry professionals
✨ Strong partnerships with local education providers
✨ Celebrating successes — big and small
✨ And helping illuminate bright futures… quite literally! 💡
