Scorpion Production Group Supports Wingman Club Golf Day at Willesley Park Golf Club

Scorpion Production Group is proud to have recently supported the Wingman Club for their latest charity golf day, held at the stunning Willesley Park Golf Club. The event was an overwhelming success, with a fantastic turnout and over £13,000 raised for a variety of charitable causes. Scorpion was on hand to provide full technical and event infrastructure support, ensuring the day ran smoothly from start to finish.

With expertise spanning staging, AV, power, and event logistics, Scorpion Production Group delivered a comprehensive package tailored specifically to the needs of the golf day – blending functionality with high-impact visual elements.

Bespoke structures to elevate the experience

To set the tone for the day, Scorpion built a branded entrance tunnel, giving guests a memorable and professional welcome onto the course. This custom truss-built tunnel not only guided attendees into the event area but also served as a striking photo opportunity and branding feature.

Another standout structure was the raised DJ platform, strategically positioned to provide musical entertainment throughout the day, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.

At one of the key holes, a custom teeing off point was constructed using truss, adding both a visual focal point and practical setup to enhance the players’ experience. Each structure was built with precision and designed to reflect the character and branding of Wingman Club, adding value to both the visual and logistical aspects of the day.

Extensive PA setup across the course

A golf day with multiple events and announcements throughout the course demands robust and reliable sound coverage. Scorpion Production Group installed multiple PA points spread across the grounds, allowing for seamless communication, music, and commentary to be heard at all the key areas.

To facilitate this, the team laid out over a quarter of a kilometre of PA cabling, carefully routed to avoid disruption to play while ensuring every speaker zone was fully connected and clear. This setup enabled all players and guests to stay informed and entertained throughout the day, wherever they were on the course.

Power generation and chilled refreshments

To keep everything running as it should, Scorpion also provided temporary power generation and distribution across the site. From powering the DJ setup to supporting the PA system and other event facilities, the team ensured that every location had safe, reliable access to power.

Recognising the importance of refreshments on a sunny day, Scorpion Production Group also supplied a fridge trailer, stocked and powered to keep all drinks cold and readily available. This practical addition made a real difference to the comfort and enjoyment of attendees throughout the event.
