Scorpion Production Group Powers Sonic Boom for Second Year Running in Burton Upon Trent

Scorpion Production Group is proud to have once again supported Sonic Boom, Burton Upon Trent’s free-to-attend community music festival, delivering a full technical and infrastructure solution to help bring this growing event to life.

Following the success of the inaugural edition, this year’s Sonic Boom returned bigger and better, transforming Burton’s Market Place into a hub of live music, celebration and community spirit. As a trusted partner, Scorpion Production Group was on hand to supply everything from power and fencing to staging, sound and lighting — helping to create a safe, vibrant and professional event experience for both performers and the public.

Full Infrastructure and Technical Delivery

Our involvement in Sonic Boom covered every core production aspect required to make the day a success. At the heart of the event was the main outdoor stage, positioned in the Market Place, which hosted a packed lineup of live music acts throughout the day.

For the main stage, Scorpion provided:

• A professionally installed stage
• A complete intelligent lighting rig including moving heads, washes, spots and effects
• A powerful PA system for clear sound coverage across the square
• On-site technicians and crew to manage operations
• An LED Wall fed by multiple live feed cameras and branded graphics.

But our support didn’t stop at the stage. We were also responsible for:

• Power generation and distribution across the site including street food and medical treatment centre
• Site fencing and access control
• Infrastructure for performer and crew areas
• Crowd safety barriers and support services

This comprehensive solution allowed the Sonic Boom team to focus on delivering the programme and audience experience, while we took care of the technical and logistical foundations behind the scenes.
